hi, i have this problem of response delay time for alt-tab and ctrl-alt-del function. i tested it with ff4 for a few days and then downgrade to ff3.6, and to my amaze it is ff4 that is causing this.

when i started using ff4 for a long period of hours, and when i'd need to close a certain process in the task manager, after pressing ctrl-alt-del to get there, ill get a blank screen for 4secs before the task manager is out, its the same for alt-tab between other programs, i'm sure the culprit is ff4 as ff3.6 isn't giving me any similar problem like ff4.

When you installed Foxit Reader, did you opt-out of the option to install the Ask Toolbar? There are compatibility isssues between Ask and Firefox 4 at the moment.

Go to Tools | Add-ons | Extensions and remove it in there. See also: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions

To determine whether FF4 is performing optimally or not, run Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Download the free version of Malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free and run a full system scan to eliminate malware as the culprit as is often the case.

Malwarebytes appears to have quarantined and deleted all 381 infections, so you should be in the clear now.

The main culprit appears to have been an adware app called "Funshion" produced by a Chinese company called Funshion Online Technologies. There's a Facebook game called "Funshion Addict" which you might have played if you have an account there. If so, avoid it in the future.

You also had spyware installed by the name of Qvod Player. There's an article on it here: http://edwardkhoo.com/is-it-safe-to-download-qvod-player/ Something to avoid in the future as well perhaps.

"00im.exe" appears to have been logged as adware and was installed along with an app called SUPER. Info on it here: http://systemexplorer.net/db/00im.exe.html

Adware will definitely cause system slowdowns because it's pulling ads from many different servers all over the Web. Now that the source of these (Funshion) have been removed, you should see a general improvement in performance.

But use Malwarebytes to run regular scans to prevent a recurrence.
