I have been using Thunderbird for the past 10 years. Two days ago I suddenly was no longer able to send emails out of any of my email accounts. This was the case on all my devices, phone, ipad and desktop. I changed nothing. I get this error:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <[email protected]> sender rejected. The email address you are sending as must match the email address you used to auth. Please check your SMTP settings. AUP#Out-1500. Please verify that our email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

The error suggests you're trying to send from account X but through the smtp server that has account Y's credentials. Do you have separate smtp servers for each account, and is each account set to send on the smtp whose credentials match those of the sending account?
