We have a bunch of mail with large attachments in local folders and would like to move the mail up to Gmail. While manually stripping out the attachment/moving it up to Drive and putting a link in its place then forwarding the mail could work there is too much of this to make this practical.

Does anyone know of an add on or app that can automatically strip attachments larger than 25MB and insert a link as mail is copied from a Thunderbird local folder to Gmail?

Many thanks in advance.

This addon will perform a strip of attachments. It still would be quicker than the manual excercise you are currently needing to perform. Suggest you perform a backup first as the addon states it is a work in progress. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/attachmentextractor-continued/
