How to add a homescreen link direct to the FFox Bookmarks menu
With the soon-to-be demise of XMarks, I'm losing one feature that I really like. Having a link direct on my homescreen to my FFox bookmarks menu by opening the XMarks app.. Of course I can get to them by opening the FFox browser and navigating to the appropriate level of Bookmarks. But it would be handy to be able to open the FFox Bookmarks menu with one click on the homescreen, rather then two or three..... (My Bookmarks are synced over several FFoxes on Android and Win10).
Any way of doing this?

I don't believe it is possible to get that exact behavior. Setting your bookmarks as your default home screen would be close.
- open Firefox
- tap the 3 dot menu
- tap settings
- tap general
- tap home
- tap bookmarks
- tap set as default
Many thanks! Didn't know I could do that..... It comes very, very close to what I want, and will almost certainly suffice. Especially as I have Google search box set to open in FFox, so I don't open FFox itself to do searches usually. Neat trick!
A follow up if I may. Is there anyway of getting Bookmarks to automatically open in a New Tab? I know of course I can do it - in Android - with a Long Push, and a Select. But if I could always keep my Home Tab Bookmarks available as the first tab, with Bookmarks just opening elsewhere, that really would just replace trusty old XMarks. And it would somewhat mirror how I use FFox under Win10: Bookmarks always open and available in the left pane. Any such Settings / Addons?
Thanks in advance.
I don't believe there is an option for opening bookmarks in a new tab.
