The mail server responded:

"From address not verified - see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/sendfrom-07.html.
Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

This problem occurs for two out of three of my email accounts. I have verified that my email address(es) are correct and I am having a difficult time wading through the recommended website to find a solution.

I have compared the settings with those on my laptop (which works fine) and they seem to be identical.

Any advice would be appreciated.

As the issue is with sending, you need to check the outgoing servers. You mention you have three mail accounts. I would therefore expect it normal to see three outgoing servers, one for each mail account. Server Settings info: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/imap-server-settings-yahoo-mail-sln4075.html?impressions=true

In 'Account Settings' window click on 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)' How many outgoing servers are listed?

select the one which contains the 'User Name' = mail account email address. click on 'Edit' 'Description' is something you can use to help to idenitfy which server is which. Type something to help identify that mail account eg: Personal - Work - Your NAME in capitals. etc

'Server Name' : smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port - 465 or 587 'Connection Security': SSL/TLS (for port 465) or 'STARTTLS' (port 587) 'Authentication method': Normal Password 'User Name' = full email address of mail account click on OK

Then make sure the mail account is using that outgoing server. In left Pane select the mail account name bottom right you will see 'Outgoing server (SMTP)' - make sure you have selected the correct outgoing server - you will see the 'Description'. when all is correct, click on OK.

Make sure each mail account is using the correct outgoing server.

Confirm when you have double checked the above.
