I have 3 sets of bookmark folders. I want to combine the contents and then delete the extra empty folders. Please give very simple directions. I'm very unsavvy about tech stuff.

I also have lost the close buttons that used to be on the top of the All Bookmarks screen. Now the only way I can close it is to reboot. How can I get the buttons back?

You can use Command+W to close a window if you can't find the close button. This can happen if you have opened the Library window in Full Screen mode.

Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder. You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You can use a cut and paste to move the bookmarks from one folder to another folder. Select all the bookmarks that you want to move via "Command+A" or via Shift and cursor Down. You can right-click the selection to find the edit commands or find them in the Organize menu (first button on the toolbar in the Library next to Back and Forward buttons).
