Everytime I open Firefox, in any website, including the Firefox settings website, An ad forces me to see it, and when I try to quit it, It says ARE YOU SURE?

OK. So when I open Firefox, I go to my home page. Then when I click on the search button (before typing) It brings me to a whole different window with an ad. I tried Ad blocker but it did absolutely nothing to stop it from opening. On every page, when I click on anything, It brings up a different window with an ad. Now, my other problem is, When I play a video on YouTube, Firefox stops responding. But then the video plays normally. This happens like, EVERY single video I watch on Firefox. Fix this. And also, Shockwave Flash keeps 'not responding/busy' almost every page I open. excluding YouTube, and all 'google related' pages.

Hi, sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

You should also update your Shockwave Flash player (Ctrl+Shift+A > Plugins)

Thanks! I will download Microsoft Security Essentials and update Shockwave Flash. This was pretty helpful!
