Hello All,

I hope my question was clear. I want to download files without any prompting. I do not care what file it is. The problem started when a user accidentally opened up an attachment (word file) and made changes. It saved the changes in C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Temp. How can I make this download to another place on the hard drive ? I want to bypass this TEMP folder an save it to a particular directory. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to A) Download it directly to a directory of my choosing or B) By pass the temp directory all together so I can save it anywhere. Please let me know how this is saving form m e-mail program to this TEMP directory so redirect it. Thank you so much!!

You can disable this feature to remember a host based download directory by creating a new Boolean pref on the about:config page with the name browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite pref and set its value to false.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

You can delete the content-prefs.sqlite file in the Profile Folder to only remove settings stored in this file. That way you keep exceptions stored in permissions.sqlite that would get lost if you clear the "Site Preferences" via Clear Recent History.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Thank you Cor-el!!!

I did the changes and it still tries to save in the he TEMP folder (C\user\username\appdata\local\temp). Just trying to manipulate and control where I can stop this and point the TEMP file somewhere else.
