My Firefox suddenly stopped connecting to the server, Internet OK, I tried the firewall settings, no-go, and I have no other browser installed.

I've tried all of the solutions listed with no success. I have no other browser installed on my computer so I can even reinstall the Firefox. I don't know what to do from here. I'm only somewhat computer savvy, so I for sure need detailed information for what my next step should be. I have removed and restored Firefox from the firewall, turned firewall off and on, done these steps and restarted the computer in between, reset Firefox, renamed Firefox... I'm out of ideas! My Computer has basically been rendered useless because of this update!

Lets start with the computers fire wall. Open it. Look for anything about Mozilla or Firefox, and Delete them all. Close the firewall. Try Firefox again. Sometimes when a new version of a program comes out, he fire wall does not know its the same program.

OK, the only firewall I have is the windows one, we aren't subscribed to McAfee or anything else. I went in the Windows firewall and removed it from the list of accepted programs, tried Firefox, then reset Firefox and tried again, then restated the computer and tried again. Still same msg.

That's all I can do for you. Someone who has Linux might be able to give more help.
