websites that contain video clips don't load properly, The space where the video should be is blank. Also on facebook if you click on a thumbnail of a video that has been posted it just dissapears and doesn't play.
Chosen solution
A simple fix that worked for me was to do a system restore to when the system was working. This gives you a working flash player.. Then don't update flash player, but you can update firefox.

Run Firefox in Safe Mode
Extensions like Adblock Plus, Flashblock, ShareThis, and other can affect Flash. Run Safe Mode, if Videos appear you have an Add-On blocking/preventing flash for showing. Disable Extension one by one to find out which one it is.
Thanks it was adblock plus that was causing the problem
My problem - when I open a web site which has a link to a streaming video, the link does not work. The problem started on June 23, 2012.
I have only adblock plus among those listed and I have had it for a while.. Disabling it did not work. My experience with adblock plus is that it will block links at times, but it has provisions for unblocking, which normally work.
My only clue is that shockwave flash was updated on June 23 and that's when my trouble started.
mathman, see Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox. If you need more help, go to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new and follow the steps to the end, to ask a new question.
To Alice Wyman: thanks a lot. I simply replaced Flash 11.3 with Flash 10.3 - it worked! I didn't bother with the steps involving realplayer since I have had no problems with it previously.
Hi Mathman - that's about when my problem began too. I also cannot "see" PDF files embedded on the websites - the space there is just blank (white). I'm annoyed because this happened a few weeks ago and I can't figure out how to fix this (after some three or so hours reading and troubleshooting).
Any luck on your end? TASBK
