Cookies and Profile Question

How does Firefox store cookies? In other words I understand they are stored in a file in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\d3z0e911.default. In a file or files called Cookies.sqlite. I have PC Tools Performance Toolkit and I have it delete Cache History, Cookies and Address Bar. Problem is when it deletes this I lose my profile and must move everything back around. It appears there is no way to individually delete or save cookies in PC Tools PT. Is there a way to prevent Performance Toolkit for deleting my profiles? Which of the 3 items mentioned above will allow the profile to remain? My other option is to use Firefox to delete my cookies and history. In that case, if Firefox stores cookies in a single file, how large does Firefox allow this file to get? Does Firefox retain a certain size for these files containing cookies? The reason I ask is if I remove the cookies myself form Firefox I'm only able to "Remove Cookie" or "Remove All Cookies". I'm unable to select certain cookies to keep. All-in-All though I really like Firefox so far. Everything seem simple except for getting Themes. I can't seem to find a quick way of doing it but I'll get it.

Chosen solution

Don't select Firefox in the Programs List of PC Tools Settings.

Yes, that's what I did. But how about the cookies files. Does Firefox actually save all cookies?? So if I wait to long to delete the cookies will I be swamped with thousands to delete??

It depends on the History Settings set by user in Options -> Privacy panel

Check and tell if its working.

Ah, ok, I see now. So if I don't tell Firefox to delete cookies on exit I'll end up with bunches of cookies?
