Im using firefox 5.0 & I use a master password. Everytime I open firefox, it asks for the master password. This did not happen in previous versions. Is there a way to make it stop popping up everytime rather than disabling the master password

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thank you. I was able figure out the cause of the problem in safe mode. It was an add-on(web mail notifier) I installed after I updated firefox to 5.0. Removed it and now it's workin fine. Thanks again. :)

You're welcome.

Yes, the presence of that extension in your More system details list made me suggest to try safe mode.

I have the same problem. I have progressively disabled all extensions but the problem persists. What next?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
