Hi there,

Hope this message finds you well.

I am presently having trouble loading websites and speed times are very slow.

Been using firefox for 7 years and never had an issue on linux versions. Though on macos I seem to be having these slow load times.

Also rendering images and content takes quite a while to do this.

I am currently running Firefox 131.0.3 (aarch64)

This is on a iMac m3 running Macos sonoma 14.6.1

I have compared this with safari and chrome and it seems to be much better.

Is there a test I can run to see if everything is okay?

thanks for making the best browser ever!

Best always

Benji

Hey Benji, thanks for the praise and the long time use of Firefox.

You have quite a few addons installed and sometimes either one of them is causing the slow loading issues or a combo of them is bringing down the browser performance. So try disabling the addons I have listed below then turning them on one at a time and surfing the sites you had the most slowdowns with and see if you notice a big improvement.

Disable or remove Add-ons

Addons that you should disable and test for a good while with them off: Tampermonkey 5.1.1 Intention - Stop Mindless Browsing 1.4.3 Grammarly: AI Writing and Grammar Checker App uBlock Origin [I think this is least likely to cause slowdowns but still disable it to be sure] Tab Session Manager 7.0.1

See this thread for a similar realization that a mix of addons or a certain addon cause sites to load slow: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1420216

Please let us know if you find out which addon was causing the slowdowns. We can warn others that it could be causing slow page loads for them too.
