hey all

when i downloaded and installed Thunderbird beta it imported my account settings fine, but lost the list of automatically allowed image loading emails/urls so now i have to add everything again.

if i switch back to the stable release, how can i make sure this list is kept?

feedback - you may want to provide some way to automatically import that going between versions so its not lost (i couldn't find it after switching) and even export all settings for backup - i remember having to change region etc info (im in Australia).

My experience has been that switching backwards between releases is not supported and can be problematic because profiles are not downward-compatible. I do not recommend using beta except to test upcoming versions.

aren't these accounts/profile settings all pretty much standard across versions now? i wouldn't imagine these long time settings that rarely change would be incompatible between most releases including betas?

i really only want to switch back to stable and have my settings all come over... but down the line i may want to try beta again if you actually get all settings imported... adding back urls snd emails for allowed images took ages to get all there, and gone within mins.

The permissions.sqlite and content-prefs.sqlite files store the permissions for what remote content can be displayed. If you can find those files in another profile, or even a backup, copy them into the profile currently in use.
