Changing my primary email account

more options

I'm losing a corporate email account and want to change my primary Firefox email address to my personal email address. When I go to "Add Secondary email" and enter my personal a/c, it tells me it's already in the Firefox system but they don't know it as my current "secondary" account. I am the only owner in the world of that personal a/c. How do I get Firefox to let me use it as my secondary email address? Thanks Bob

Hi Bob!

If Firefox is telling you that the email address is already in use, you will need to close the account that is currently using that email address. It's possible that you setup an account previously using that email address.

Try signing into the Firefox Accounts page using the email address you are having problems with. If you don't know the password, you can go through the password recovery process, since you are the email address owner and you have access to the email account. Once you have access to that account, you can delete it or change it to different email address. That will free-up the email address to be used as a secondary on your current Firefox Account.

Hope this helps.
