For the past week, Ghostery is grey and not active. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing happens. Please offer suggestion to get Ghostery active.
Since Ghostery isn't active, many sites are very choppy, my computer has slowed down and now takes forever, pages are not stable and go back to early pages. I really want Ghostery available. I would appreciate recommendations for making Ghostery active. Thank you.

Somtimes this is just a issue with Firefox, there are a few things that could cause this: The add-on was blocked by Mozila, it dose not work with the latest version of Firefox or it is a bug that needs to be fixed. My advice would be to dowload a older version of Firefox and see if it works there. If that dosn't work it means it is a bug that Mozila must fix. You can report it to them via Bugzila: Find out more about reporting a bug

I did contact Ghostery and per their recommendation did a Foxfire reset which enabled Ghostery to return. Then I saw Robertj's email. Thank you Robert. Your suggestion is right on!

I want to thank Daniel for providing some options. Prior to seeing his reply I had contacted Ghostery and given the suggestion to reset Firefox. The reset solved the problem. If it had not, I would have tried your suggestions!
Thank you,
CM
Hi again cmacc, I'm glad to hear that you got Ghostery working again.
For future reference, if you should ever contemplate installing an older version of Firefox, you should consider Dedicated profiles per Firefox installation.
