I have a Dlink web camera. Dlink says it supports Firefox. But when I try to access it with Firefox, the message says unsupported browser.

i have no such problem with Chrome which is also supported.

I checked out http://us.dlink.com/ and had no problem. Win 7; FF 54 and 58

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Thanks for the info. It did not work. Looking at the MyDlink site again , it appears that it supports only a 32 bit OS for Windows. i seem to have a 64 bit OS. Chrome works for me so I have a solution.

Can you suggest anything else to get FF to work on a 64 bit system.
