Is there an alternative to Flash Player 23 for those on Mac OS 10.6.8?

I am running a iMac 3.06 Intel Core Duo, with OS 10.6.8 installed (which cannot be upgraded past 6.8). A new computer is not in my budget. Adobe Flash is out of date, and I'm getting all sorts of warnings about it on various websites, so Flash won't run unless I click and ignore all the warnings. If I go to Adobe and try to upgrade to Adobe Flash Player 23, it indicates the minimum system requirement is 10.9. What alternatives do I have to Adobe Flash? It is a pain to use it now, but will actually work. AF Player 24 may not, and I would like to know what else is available. I am using mostly Firefox 48.0.2 (the message on about Firefox is "You can not perform further upgrades on this system") and White Hat Aviator Version 37.0.2062.99 (2.6.1) (the latest).

Support for 10.6 - 10.8 was actually dropped a few releases ago. Flash Player will still install (we don't block the installation), but the OS version is not longer officially supported, which is why it's not listed in the drop down menu. Go ahead and select teh 10.9-10.12 option to download the installer.

Since you have the old Mac OSX 10.6, support for OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 has been dropped for Firefox Releases starting Firefox 49.0 and later and the Fx 48.0 you have is EOL. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-osx

There is a Firefox 45.0 ESR option for security updates as current is 45.5.0esr which came out when Firefox 50.0 was released and unless Mozilla extends support it will be supported until 45.8.0esr when Firefox 53.0 is released.
