Hello, after I had installed Windows 10, I have been having problems with Firefox.

I am able to start up Firefox but when I try to load any pages such as a new tab, the options, bookmarks and basically everything else it just hangs/does not respond at all. I can't even type anything on the address bar as well as it does not go through. (Does not let me enter)

I tried doing safe mode as well, the problem still occurs.

Chosen solution

Hi dt_truong, In order to get it back to working, what we can do is add the old profile files to the new one. This is not the cleanest, but will minimize data loss.

What have we done so far to address slowness? (security/antivirus toggling, reinstall, repair profile, and repeat corruption after a day of working in summary?) Are any crash reports ever created?

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

The problem is still happening.

I made another profile for Firefox and it works good but it is slow. I'm not sure if it'll happen again but I lose all of my bookmarks and stuff.

Are there any other solutions?

Firefox was working properly yesterday, but when I turned on my computer and tried to go on Firefox this happen.
