My computer is slow, hangs and crashes since 36.0.1
I have read the other solutions to this and have implemented all of them. I disabled hardware acceleration, and updated all media drivers. This slowed down the crashes, but Firefox is still sluggish. I'm running Firefox 36.0.1 on a OSX 10.10.2 multiple addons.

CoreFoundation AppKit HIToolbox are highlighted red because Socorro does not recognize the programs....I think this means that there are no simples for them (doublechecked from crash course from last week at the community meeting) Does this happen in Safe Mode? Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode This will eliminate any add ons being an issue.
It looks like it was one of my addons. I'm adding them back in one at a time to see which one. I'm guessing Adblock Edge. I found a different adblocker and no crashing or hanging so I'm good for now.

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.
I updated to Flash 17.0.0.134 and it didn't correct the problem. I don't think I have any Microsoft programs on my Mac.
The crash report flagged these programs
libsystem_pthread.dylib = ? Word for Mac
CoreFoundation = ? Word for Mac
AppKit
libsystem_kernel.dylib = ? Word for Mac
I thought this was fixed when I removed all my Microsoft programs, but I'm still having things hang (rotating wheels of Mac thinking) and sudden crashes. Help!
Here are the crash reports since I removed Word, or since I tried to remove Word. bp-bab0f631-705b-4b1f-976f-999102150317 3/16/15 9:40 PM

I clicked this did not solve my problem, does that take the solved flag away? This is my first time using the forum.

Ah, its the server name of the crash processor. Also Good Work! Please do post back if there is more need for support.
Thank you, cor-el.
Just to add information, I have Ubuntu 15.04 beta 64-bit, Firefox 36.0.1, all add-ons disabled, plugins.click2play enabled for Flash, and Firefox still pauses and hangs a lot. This may be an Ubuntu beta problem, but earlier versions of Firefox ran super fast on earlier versions of 15.04 beta. quad core CPU, 12GB of RAM, rarely more than ten or fifteen tabs open, so I don't think it's a problem of insufficient resources.
Hi Michael,
Sorry you're having problems.
Often some bad problem suddenly appearing with new versions of Firefox are the result of security software issues, but that is not as likely on Ubuntu.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but you should ask your own question. Try to include all the information requested in the question flow. Please use the link /questions/new/desktop/fix-problems
If you post back here to confirm you have done that we will be able to find your question.
If however the problem is caused by the Ubuntu Beta then we may not be able to help, but Firefox is usually the supplied default browser in Ubuntu and I would expect Ububtu to be concerned about fixing any such issue.
