I expected that FF had some old add-on date that wouldn't refresh, but after checking I noticed that both readers where installed on my system...... (aaargh Adobe)

Hi, I reinstalled FF and used mozbackup for my bookmark backup etc. But now i'm experiencing problems with my plugins, I tried watching a youtube movie fullscreen but it go's fullscreen for 1 sec and back to normal again... Very frustating, so i went to FF add-on manager to check if everything is up to date. The flash plugin isnt showing up anywhere, but i noticed the adobe pdf reader was outdated. So I updated through the FF links etc. Now I have 2 Adobe reader plugins installed and the old 1 keeps telling me to update... Again very frustating. I now have the following in my FF add-on manager: Extensions: Adobe acrobat - create PDF 1.1 (disabled) and NO remove button??????? Can't do anything with that extension, I want it gone... Plug-ins: - Adobe acrobat 11.x (newest version) - Adobe acrobat 10.x (old version) <---- Why cant i remove this EASY??? Why didnt FF remove this when i installed 11.x through the FF way? I went to the mozilla plugincheck page and it doens't show me any adobe plugin. For long I have hated adobe app's so thats ok, but recently FF starts going downhill for me to... :( Huge memory usage etc.. I'm a webdesigner and therefore love FF but it isn't a clean fast browser it used to be, sadly.. I already found a 'solution': "I only moved the old *.dll and *.ocx files to a different directory, deleted the old executables, and rebooted FF. " But i consider this to be a crappy solution, can anyone tell why FF behaves like this? --EDIT-- Thanks jscher2000, I expected that FF had some old add-on date that wouldn't refresh, but after checking I noticed that both readers where installed on my system...... (aaargh Adobe) Solution: I removed ALL adobe readers and installed Foxit, works great now and FF add-on refreshed instantly. Thanks again for your time.
