Every time I launch Firefox for Android I get nagged to set up Firefox sync. Do not want! Mozilla, why are you acting like an evil for profit corporation out to steal everyones personal data? Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!

hello, in what way do you get nagged?

please also note that your personal data is encrypted on your device before it is transferred to the sync servers, so neither mozilla or any other party could have access to its contents: Firefox Sync data is secure - Find out more

This message demanding that I set up Firefox Sync. It takes up the lower third of the screen. I don't want to set up sync. All I want is a blank page when I start off Firefox for Android browser. Why is that so difficult?

Sorry for the double post. I totally do not understand interface of this forum. I post something and it disappears. There's no threading like a normal forum. I have to select each message by clicking an icon that says owner and it's totally confusing.

i fear that the message is hard-coded into the homepage and there's no simple way to disable it - in addition there's also no easy way to set a custom homepage in firefox for android. you could long-tap on a page in the history/search suggestions and add a short-cut to that on the homescreen of your device & launch firefox through that shortcut...

OK, the home page shortcut workaround is a useful suggestion. Thanks for that.
