You have an extension named Yahoo! Mail Notifier. Can you check its Options or just Disable it on the following tab to see whether that is the culprit?

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

(You often need to restart Firefox in order for an Extension to be disabled. In this case, since the problem only occurs at startup, you can just wait until your next startup after disabling it.)

I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. That solved the issue. Thanks
