Is Java 10.15.2.3 causing Firefox to crash?

Firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a Java applet. We have uninstalled and re-installed Java, tried older versions of java, uninstalled and re-installed Firefox, tried older version of Firefox, updated plug-ins, enables and disabled different plug-ins, and tried every other troubleshooting suggestion we could find, but we have yet to be able to open a Java applet without Firefox crashing. This problem is only with Firefox, it does not happen with Chrome or IE.

Crash IDs (I will only list the latest 4 since I have way too many):

What else can i try?

Have you checked you addons?

Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Don't select anything right now, just use "'Start in Safe Mode" To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shift key) to open it again. If it is good in the Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.

Yes we have checked the add-ons and tried starting in Safe Mode. We already know that Java is the problem. I have tried several version of Java and am still unable to open up the page without Firefox crashing. Yet the page opens up fine in Chrome and IE. Problem is I need to be able to use Firefox since that is what the majority of our users use. We have followed every direction we could find in the troubleshooting page, so are there any other suggestions that haven't already been listed in the troubleshooting page??

Have you checked with How to allow Java on trusted sites ?

We checked that already. Java is not locked. It works on some websites, but it does not work on the one we need to use, which our users use for work.
