Having problems connectiing to certain websites and have tried most solutions. Any ideas?
Ok well about 3 or 4 days ago I started having a problem with Firefox not wanting to connect to some sites. I'm running Windows 7 and I'm using FF 5.0. Whenever i try going to one of these sites, using clubnintendo as an example, i get the message "Unable to connect: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at club.nintendo.com."
I have tried turning off my virus protection which is Norton 360, I've made an exception for FF in its firewall and windows firewall with no avail.
I have tried using IE and Chrome but get the similar results. Any idea what is causing this and how I may fix it?

Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can
Check and tell if its working.
I read through there earlier and tried the stuff and non of it worked. I restarted my laptop, which I had already tried, and it's working fine again as far as I know of. The sites I was trying at the time are loading now.
Edit: Turns out now some other sites that were loading aren't loading correctly now but the ones that weren't are.

what are the error messages you are receiving when you try to load websites ??
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at _____.org. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
The _____.org just being an example.
The thing is, as I stated, It was different sites doing this before i restarted.
I've also tried running Firefox with add-ons disabled and same thing happened.

I tried every thing they had in there before but the problem "seems" like it was my anti-virus. I was using Norton 360. I tried disabling and editing the firewall settings without anything working still, but after i uninstalled it and installed a different one. Things seem to be working like they're supposed to now. Thanks for your help.
