Firefox crashing when downloading pictures.
Whenever I try to download a picture file (.pgn, .jpg etc), Firefox stops working and I either have to wait for it to close or terminate the process myself. Picture files will be downloaded despite of Firefox crashing, and they are not corrupted or incomplete. It may not crash when downloading other files types, but those files will not even be downloaded even though it shows as finished in Firefox. I also deleted downloads.sqlite like the troubleshooting told me and tested it, I have tried to delete everything Mozilla on my computer and reinstall it, and I have started it with all extension turned off, but it's the same.

Assuming you are windows, can you try creating a new profile. Here is a video here
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_creating-a-profile
Use the new profile and if you don't get any of the crashes, then it is almost certainly your old profile has been corrupted. Uninstalling Firefox does not delete old profiles unless you click on option to remove everything during the uninstall process.
If that doesn't work can you type in " about:support " in your awesome bar, then click "copy to clipboard" and either paste or attach the information in your next post. This will go a long way to troubleshooting your problem.
I did tell it to delete everything during the uninstallation, but even then there were a few files left which I deleted manually. The rest of my information can be viewed on the right side, by clicking More System Details. If not, here it is. Some is in Norwegian, but you'll make out what is what; most is in English.

In regards to manually deleting everything for an uninstall just a real quick question, did you make sure your "C:\Users\ UserName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox" folder was deleted also? That is where personalized Firefox information is stored. It is important to start totally fresh.
As for as your About:support I see nothing wrong. However, I also had a recent model AMD card and it was problematic leading up to Firefox 4 with some graphical crashes. So lets tackle that issue, by doing these few steps
1) Update your graphics card. Your card is a AMD's newest line and also there were specific AMD driver fixes for Firefox 4. http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx
2) After installing the driver. Run Firefox normally and see if crashes still happens. IF crashes happen then go to Firefox options ~~~~>advanced tab~~~~>unclick "use hardware acceleration when possible" and note what happens in regard to regular use.
3) After all of these steps. Go to your awesome bar and put in " about:crashes " in your awesome bar and we will go from there.
Hello again! It seem like the crashing issue have gone away, after I installed the new drivers etc. But now, the files are NOT downloaded. I can see it being downloaded, and I can see the file in the designated folder as the download is on-going, but right when it finishes, it disappears. I have turned on Show Hidden files/folders, and I have no idea what happens, if it gets deleted or just moved somewhere. I have searched for the file, but no hits. Also, I completely shut down my antivirus for a test, same result.
