Why this application is so complicated to use?
Do you guys even know how to design a software? I want to know who was your chief who approved the functionality of Thunderbird. Here's what you need to do, hand over your "chief" or "CEO" an iPad and ask him to hand that figure why this software called Thunderbird is listed as the top email client and takes about 1.5 hours to configure, and still not configured. How do you guys even think? If you want people to use your software, think SIMPLE! If you want more example, then open up the Mail application on Apple computers, see how it works. Make people's life easier, not complicated, softwares are supposed to help the community, there's a reason why exists, their products are the most terrible products, but when it comes to functionality, anyone can operate it, configure an email account on Outlook in 1 minute! Try the same with your Thunderbird !

Lets try simple. Install the software, start it and enter your email address and password when asked. Not all that complicated in my opinion. Clearly however you appear to be having some problems with that, but I have no idea what because you actually never mentioned what the issue was.
So perhaps we can try again where you say what it is that is not working and we try and help you make it work. That is generally considered to be more productive.
Just as an aside, personally I have never been so frustrated with a obtuse non intuitive block of plastic than when I first tried to use an IPAD. I still find Android obtuse and anything but intuitive. So you might want to consider that not everyone shares you definition of what is simple or intuitive. Touch is not intuitive for me. Any of it.
