I am running with ubuntu 18.04 I have adobe flash installed on my system but not in firefox I have downloaded adobe flash (flash_player_npapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz) got the .so file and the usr folder and followed the directions in the readme.txt no cigar

The firefox I am using is the snap version. I have installed flash on another machine with no problem but this one is pesky. I think that my plugins directory is at (as per application basics):

/home/greg/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox/2y2h61fv.default-1536533617725

There was another profile and I tucked a copy in there too - just to make sure)

There was 1 other plugin - in firefox and I found its file here so I just added the flash .so file there.

I also did the sudo cp -r usr/* /usr after first moving to the directory where the usr folder was

As far as I can tell I have no other flash players in my system

Thoughts?

Thank you.........

Normally I put the libflashplayer.so extracted from flash_player_npapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ in created plugins folder at ~/.mozilla/plugins

If Firefox was running when you installed Flash then you can use about:plugins to scan for it and show what version you have and where it is located on system.
