Any way to open Local links i.e. t:\document in Firefox V57?
Our company uses Firefox as it's web browser of choice, and the main reason for that is that using Local Filesystem Links addon I could open File:\\\ links on our intranet.
Users have become very dependent on this, and now the addon isn't compatible with V57 of Firefox it appears that I have 2 choices:
1) I downgrade everybody back to a pre V57 state. 2) I switch everybody back to Chrome and use the 'Local Explorer' extension
I really don't want to have to do either - so is there an alternative way to make Firefox open local links (for example T:\bleh\bleh )

I can open files in both Firefox 56 and 57 when not using the Local Filesystem Links add-on, i.e. entering file:///c://Users should still work. Perhaps a 3rd option is to not install the add-on and change any file:/// links in the docs when required? The latter affects the number of slashes.
You could take a look at this and this question, as well as the mozillaZine article referred to.

I resolved this by disabling the local link protection as detailed in the mozillaZine article Tonnes referred to.
Thanks Tonnes :)
Hi
Can you open network links doing this or just files on the local disk? I've got a similar problem with .docx files, I've tried the solutions here and in the below but no luck
