As a fan of using Mozilla Thunderbird unfortunately I must see daily more and more problems with the download of my emails for example via the www.1und1.de server in order to receive my [email protected] email. Testing with several settings - change the password, or the settings like SSL/TSL, STARTTLS, in the latter version the Ant-Virus refuses any download. With SSL/TLS the access to 1und1.de webmail account does not work any longer.

Furthermore I contacted 1und1.de if the line has a problem, I could easily write and send email within the 1und1.de system to my own account. Thunderbird does not deliver incoming email by opening the account and request for an update. The person on the telephone there said that Firefox-Browser and Thunderbird are reported to have this problem for a couple of days already.

Not finding a contact person to call here, I ask friendly to get some quick efficient help. Thank you for your kind ideas in advance.

Please tell me what other information is needed that someone may be able to help this severe problem.

More details: While trying to download all the email from several accounts only online.de emails report the software bug:

Zeitueberschreitung der Verbindung mit Server [email protected] | English translation: Time exceeded the connection with server [email protected]

Am I correct by saying that the actual software does not download emails from online.de server? What is different to the other perfect running emails?

GMX is also a branch of 1und1.de reports just now another error as follows:

Ein Fehler ist während einer Verbindung mit imap.gmx.net:993 aufgetreten.

SSL hat eine fehlgeformte Handshake-Nachricht "Server-Schüsselaustausch" empfangen.

(Fehlercode: ssl_error_rx_malformed_server_key_exch)
