I searched a lot and seems that this function is not availabe in thunderbird nor in any addon. I'd like to be able to choose if a "return receipt" (than I am sending to someone who requested it when sent an email to me) will be saved into the "Sent" folder like any other e-mail i send, or not (like now happens in thunderbird). In outlook this was possible and allowed me to maintain a record of what I confirmed to have read or not. In thunderbid I searched a lot and nor the basic install or any addon allow to do this !! Please consider to put a small option to check if someones wants to maintain "sent receipts" into the SENT folder.

You have a mail provider who processes DSN requests? Wow!

Well, I do have one such provider myself but DSN is only ever honoured when I send messages to another user on the same server. So it is largely futile trying to use it.

The notifications are slippery things to pin down. They seem to be lacking most of the attributes of regular email that filters normally work on.

I shall have to generate a few and see if regular expression can be used to detect them. I have given up with custom filter fields; they never seem to work. :-(
