This issue has been going on since FF changed video player format back in version 52 I believe. I get "Cannot load M3U8: Error #2032". Safari will play most of the links on this site and other similar sites with the exception of VidziTV links. Quigs responded to my first query with things to try but the issue continues.

Here's your earlier thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1157000

What changed in Firefox 52 that may affect videos is that Firefox stopped running all plugins other than Flash. So if a site posted videos in a format that requires the QuickTime plugin, then if the site hasn't been updated to work with the built-in HTML5 player, then its videos won't play in Firefox.

While the regular release of Firefox 52-54 only allows the Flash plugin, the Extended Support Release (ESR) of Firefox 52 will still run QuickTime, Java, and other old plugins. ESR was first developed to meet the needs of large organizations that wanted Firefox to change much more slowly, but anyone can use it. It gets security updates but no feature changes for about a year at a time.

More information on this change and ESR: Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work?

Of course, that's just a guess as to why the sites might not be working the same now.

Thanks jscher2000, I thought about trying ESR but not being tech savvy I wondered if I would have issues. I may go for the ESR version but I imagine that soon it will switch to the HTML5 Player also?

Again, thank you for your input, another step closer......

The Firefox 52 ESR will get security updates until next June, when it will reach its "end of life". The next ESR after that might not support any plugins other than Flash, but I feel it's too soon to say for sure.

OK, I've got some thinking to do....thanks again for your input!
