When I'm looking at a website, the browser page will automatically close out on me when I don't want it to. I will then have to completely open up a new browser page and get back into the website I was looking at. Why is it doing this??

Does it act differently while you are on the page or just closes out with no notice?

Is the browser closing or crashing?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

I checked like you said, and there are quite a few unreported crashes, but what's happening is different. It happened again today, but there was no crash listed with today's date. When the browser closes out on me, there is no crash submission at the top of the page which normally happens when a crash occurs. I just simply get knocked out of the browser page without warning. Its like hitting the "X" at the top, although I don't hit it. A lot of times it will happen when I'm scrolling down the page using the bar on the right side. Today I happened to be in the process of making a post in Ebay when the browser page suddenly closed out - POOF!!

About how long are you online before there is a problem? What is on the webpage you are looking at? Clips, gifs, just text . . . . . .

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
