why is accessing sites on a page even if not I don't clicking but merely pass on link (LittleSnitch confirmed)
Hi,
On my Macbook, with Firefox, latest verwion. I observed that Firefox tries to access the websites on which my mouse pointer passes. Without any clicking done me.
I observed this by using LittleSnitch (outgoing firewall). If it is a new feature, would be great to have a way to disable that.
Thank you very much!!

What kind of web page is it... search results?
If it is Firefox's new tab page: this page has a feature to open a connection when you mouse over a tile. This is described in the help article here in the section "Speculative pre-connections" under "Prefetching" (you may need to expand the Prefetching section by clicking that heading before you can find "Speculative pre-connections"): How to stop Firefox from making automatic connections. I don't think that involves any specific page request, but could be accompanied by a DNS request.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
