What password are you trying to reset. You obviously know the password for this forum or you could not post a question.
No one here or at Thunderbird has anything to do with your email password if that is the question. That is between you and your email provider. Work with your email provider to reset your email password.
FYI: It is not a good idea to post your email address in a public forum unless you like spam or do not mind spammers using it to send their junk mail.
I am totally frustrated. I have reset my password and asked for my user name, which was sent. Yet, I am refused log-in to the forum, because one or both is incorrect. I can't of course set up another account, since my email is already in use. What can I do or how can I get on the forum to ask for help?
You have posted here twice now so you are obviously logged in. I have no idea what your real issue is.
Sorry. I managed to post on this site, but I was referring to the Thunderbird Forum. I still can't sign on, despite being absolutely certain of both user name and password.
This is the Thunderbird support forum. You keep saying username and password. Are you trying to log into your email? I am still confused as to what you are trying to do.
OK, perhaps I am just too thick. I hadn't realised that this is the Thunderbird Forum. (Yes, I know it says that above, but I was looking for the comments.) When I have typed Thunderbird forums in the search engine, I have been referred to the following: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=39. It presents quite a different format, and I am unable to log in, despite having reset my password and asking for my username to make certain. There is no way to ask a question without logging in, so it is catch-22. That is why I went back to the search engine in order to find a way to do that. I appreciate your help.
That site is completely different and independent from here. You need to address problems with that site with them.
Thanks. That explains things, although it is rather confusing to have two different support sites for thunderbird. But it should also be clear that I cannot address my problems to them, since I can't sign in.
Anyone can use the name. There are even sites offering support for a fee claiming to be Thunderbird support. This forum is the official support site but if you are sure that the other one is the only place to get help then OK.
