I've tried on a few different Windows 7 machines running Firefox 30.0.

If you go to Apple's page to download Quicktime, the download starts but nothing downloads. I ended up having to use Chrome to download Quicktime. I disabled pop up blocker and addons, didn't help.

I did find that clicking Apple's "view all download versions" link took me to a different page and the download worked fine there. But it doesn't work on Apple's main download button at the link I've posted above.

That's a known problem. To work around it,

  1. Under Options - General, set "Save files to: (download folder)".
  2. When the download prompt pops up, click the Save File button as quickly as possible, before the web page changes to "Thank you for downloading QuickTime".
