Customizations are no longer remembered if FF crashes or is killed?
I'm pretty sure this problem is new with 29.0.
If you customize something (the layout of that new drop-down menu with the three-horizontal-lines icon, or a hotkey for an addon, or whatever), and then FF crashes or is terminated (as opposed to being closed through the in-FF command), all your customizations will be forgotten the enxt time you restart.
And that's stupid and terrible.
Is there a fix for this bug/

This may help, Changes to toolbars and window sizes are not saved

Note that the current Firefox release stores the toolbar customization in the browser.uiCustomization.state pref, so if there are issues with the prefs then your toolbar customization might get lost.
You can check for the presence of numbered prefs-##.js files to see if anything has gone wrong.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
