I wish I could send home made treats through the computer to anyone who will help me, but obviously this isn't reality....My Mac had to be wiped clean and all of my bookmarks are gone on my Mac. They are however ALL on my Android phone. A month ago, I figured how to sync my Mac bookmarks to my Android phone, and this has been wonderful. My A.D.D. brain has tried to figure how to send all of my bookmarks from my phone, to my computer. For the life of me, I can't figure it out. Additionally, if someone could tell me if I need to do anything to make sure that any time I will add a bookmark to my Mac, that the bookmark will automatically sync to my Android, I would be grateful. This used to happen, but since my Mac was wiped clean, I wonder if I have to re-link it to my Android. Embarrassed here to admit that I even forget how to do that! Anyway, enough of my pity party....but truly, your help would be so appreciated. Thank you, Jeff

If I understand it correctly, you have a MAC - without any sync record, "since my Mac was wiped clean" - and an Android device, you would like to get syncing with each other. You may still be able to recoup the old sync account, making the whole regeneration procedure shorter - check this article: I've lost my Firefox Sync account information - What to do

If you succeed to get back your existing account, your MAC and Android device will sync again. If it does not work out, you can start from fresh by establishing sync on your MAC first: How do I set up Sync on my computer?

... and then add the Android device to the new account as follows: How do I add a device to Firefox Sync?

Let us know if you have any questions. And of course, we will appreciate to hear from you, if it works out.

First off SMO, you are sincerely appreciated for responding. Thank you. I will try to do as you've suggested, and if it works I will absolutely be posting and praising your suggestion....curious though about what is truly kept at Firefox...only asking this because when my wiped Mac was "reborn", I had to download Firefox and start fresh. Have a good "rest of the weekend". Jeff

We got a couple questions on this earlier this years. The threads do not have clear, step-by-step solutions. Maybe they will be helpful anyway?

(I haven't experimented with this process myself.)

chefjeff message me directly; I've replied and would like to make this conversation searchable by the next person.

The good news is that as long as your SG3 has your bookmarks, we should be able to use Sync to get them to your desktop. The easiest way forward is to turn Sync off on both your desktop and your phone, then create a new Sync account using your desktop computer, and finally attach your SG3 to that same Sync account. Sync should merge the data on both devices without deleting anything. Fingers crossed!

The answer at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/947177#answer-435147 describes how to do this. Each step is described -- somewhere -- on SUMO, and I can find the details for you. For example, to turn Sync off on your desktop, follow the steps at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-manage-my-firefox-sync-account#w_how-do-i-deactivate-my-synced-device.

Let me know how these steps work for you, and if you need more detailed instructions. Good luck!
