Why was my toolbar ribbon was reset after recent update?

more options

I believe after this recent update, my customised ribbon of the toolbar was reset to Firefox default with the home button on right and the likes. Why is this so, was it a problem with getting info from the profile saved on the system?

Did you notice anything else being reset?

The file that stores your toolbar customizations (localstore.rdf), window positions, and various other frequently changed settings seems prone to occasional corruption and malfunction. If you find that you lose your customizations between sessions now, you may need to rename or delete that file.

(Procedure for future reference:

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button

Switch back to Firefox and Exit

Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename localstore.rdf to something like localstore.old

Restart Firefox.)
