I'm trying to upload some art to a website. When asked to select the art, I select the folder, but when I open it, there is nothing there even though the folder has five pieces of art in it. What is going on?

mozilla is not recognizing that I have art in a folder on my desktop. it recognizes the folder, but when I open it, it's empty. why won't it recognize the contents of the folder?

What is the file extension of those files?

Can you select "All files" in that file picker to see all the files?

It is possible that it is not a supported file type that can be used for uploading.
A web server can specify that.

For instance this website allows these mime types for uploading images:

<input accept="image/jpeg,image/png,image/gif" type="file">
