the latest version of mozilla firefox is 5.0.1 ,the version,which I am using is 5.0 ,but when I am clicking the button "check for update",it is showing firefox is up to date & firefox is not remembering password also ,please help.

The latest version for Windows and Linux users is still basically Firefox 5.0 as the 5.0.1 was really only meant for Mac OSX 10.5 and 10.7 users.
