There is an ad that popped up but it is not allowing me to close it. When I try to shut down the program another window opens asking if I was to navigate away from the page. Even if I select "yes" nothing happens. What do I do to get rid of this?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
