I have several major problems with Firefox.
Even thought Firefox is my favorite browser, I'm afraid I"m going to have to give up on it:
- Gmail in Firefox won't load the standard view - only loads basic html. I don't have a slow connection. It loads fine in Chrome Gmail.
- I have Google Phone and the Voice & Video Chat plug-in. I've downloaded them with Chrome and Firefox both. It doesn't show up in Gmail with Firefox, but it shows up if I use Chrome.
- I can't view Yahoo Mail in Firefox. I tried emptying the cache. I tried allowing more memory for the cache. Clearing cookies, etc. It loads the inbox, etc. but when I try to open the mail, it's blank. Now that I've upgraded to 3.6.15, it doesn't load anything at all. It just says "Hello, Username" but the page is blank.

SAME HERE. SOOO many issues just in one week, Firefox has totally screwed up my computer. Glad to know it isn't just my computer or me.
I can't access yahoo-based sites either. It's rather annoying.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
can't access Yahoo! Mail. I've had to open it with http://www.m.yahoo.com, the same app I use on my BlackBerry.
As of April 28 I was no longer able to access my Yahoo mail account from any links while using Firefox (4.0). When I clicked on the link(s) I was getting an error notice (404 Not Found). Even when I went to the Yahoo home page and tried using their link I was getting the same message.
I installed IE8 and again established MyYahoo home page with mail preview, and I was....sometimes....able to access the mail account via the links, but I was also getting substantial delays in page turning and/or complete freezes which I had to terminate with the task manager.
I then installed the Chrome browser with MyYahoo as my home page and it eliminated most all the issues, but I am still getting a delayed page turn on occasion.
In summary, it appears the problems are browser related, but I have not received any suggestions or comments from tech support forums including Yahoo customer care on how to correct these issues.
I have run malware scans (and found none) with Avast 6.0.1091, Malwarebytes, Mamutu, and Ad Aware.
I would like to repair this issue with Firefox because of all the features it offers to which I've become accustomed to using, but Chrome is much faster and it's tempting to just switch altogether.

Same problem here. I found out if I run a system sweep ( i use "Advanced System Care) the google apps work fine.
I tried the dreaded Internet Explorer and downloaded Chrome...both accessed my Yahoo mail with no problems. I much prefer Firefox though.
Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can
Check and tell if its working.
I too have the same problem for the past few days. no solution yet in sight.

Problem: Gmail in Firefox won't load the standard view - only loads basic html. I don't have a slow connection. It loads fine in Chrome Gmail.
Solution: After trying several attempts and methods for a few days, today I just downloaded the portable firefox ver 6. and ran it. It worked fine. Google was able to load in standard view. Then closed the portable firefox. I opened the firefox ( installed one) and tried with Gmail. It worked fine in standard view. Tried a few times. No problem at all. I don't know how it got solved. Perhaps the portable version, when it was run, solved the problem.
I dont know if it is a fluke. Perhaps one can try this as a last resort.
