Following my previous questions regarding the non functioning of bookmarks and subsequent responses I tried rewriting my profile. This works initially and allows me to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer, thought this had solved problem but have since found that when I shut computer down and restart bookmarks are missing again and only answer is to write new profile.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Do you have any cleanup software like CCleaner or other security software that could corrupt places.sqlite running?
