My Thunderbird just got updated to 102.3.2 (64 bit) and after update, thunderbird shows blank window. 1. It is downloading emails but it doesn't show anything in the windows. 2. In account settings it shows all settings properly 3. In user profile it shows properly and it also shows emails when thunderbird run in troubleshoot mode.

Things I have tried but didn't help: a. Created new profile and copied all files in new folder b. Restarted thunderbird and computer

As you can see in attached image, it shows 3 messages downloaded but otherwise whole window is blank.

Any suggestions to resolve it quickly?

All the issues I was facing was solved by change default theme to another theme. To do this, go to Tools menu, then go to "Add-ons and themes", then click on Themes on left menu. Here select another them and then issue would be resolved.

Next if some emails are not showing that got downloaded in between, delete .msf files in that folder.

I've been plagued with the same issue (Macbook Air M1) after the same update. This fix did not work for me. I have the same blank, folder-less screen regardless of the theme.

If you open Thunderbird in safe mode, does it work? For me it was working in safe mode but not working in regular mode.

I have the same problem (Ubuntu 20.04): https://stackoverflow.com/questions/74155442/thunderbird-screen-is-mostly-blank

Today my Thunderbird mail client began opening up almost entirely blank, as shown at the link above. I can still click "Write" and successfully send messages, but I can't see any folders or messages in order to actually read my email.

I am running Thunderbird 102.3.3 (64-bit) under ubuntu-snap-build 1.0, on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS (64-bit), and GNOME Version 3.36.8.

I have tried enabling and disabling Hardware acceleration and restarting Thunderbird, but to no avail.

Reverting to Thunderbird 102.3.1-2 via snap revert thunderbird 259 has no effect.

My (partial) solution: going to https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ and then selecting the very latest (beta) version of Thunderbird, unpacking & installing it. I then ran "./thunderbird --ProfileManager" first to make sure that I was selecting my old user profile, and -- bang! -- I can now see all my emails, but I still cannot see my Lightning Calendar appointments.

Specifically, the version I'm now running is the Linux 64-bit version of 107.0b1: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/107.0b1/

One of my friends and I have this problem, which appears very common over the years. I've tried everything suggested in several posts from 2015 onwards but nothing has fixed it. I've uninstalled Thunderbird, deleted all the folders, gone through the registry and deleted every Thunderbird entry, restarted and tried reinstalling from scratch using a different email address and trying both 120.3.3 and 120.4.0 and it still comes up the same. Considering how often this has happened to people in the past as well as now there must be some way of figuring out what's going on and finding a fix that works for everyone, but I certainly can't find it. Help please!
