I request for this option to be buried in an advanced panel somewhere. Firefox's ability to render desktop websites very well is attractive for power users in Android, because there are many websites that work much better in desktop mode, and some websites don't work at all on mobile. There is the ability to specify a user agent override manually, and some outdated add ons but these are very hack ish and janky.

To add insult to injury, I couldn't even use Firefox very own password reset without having one dialog box get in the way of another because of UI issues.

Furthermore this is pro privacy, because some services force users to install the app so they can spy on them, whereas a closed tab will stay closed. Sometimes, a website will not render properly if it detects a mobile version on it first, so I have to open a new tab to a unrelated site then activate desktop mode and then go back to the original site. This is, like cumbersome
