When I use the ctrl + c to copy in Thunderbird it reduces the font size of the email I am copying from.
Hello:
When I use the ctrl + c to copy in Thunderbird it reduces the font size of the entire email I am copying from. The font size will continue to reduce in size until I release the ctrl key. This problem started about a week ago. I am running the latest version of Thunderbird.
I don't even have to engage the letter "c". After I highlight something in an email I want to copy as soon as press the the ctrl key the entire email starts to reduce in font size.
I have no idea why. What I end up having to do after highlighting what I want to copy is go the menu bar and select edit>copy. It's the only way I can copy something without the font size of the text reducing in size.
This problem is isolated with Thunderbird. I can use ctrl + c to copy text from any other program (e.g. word) without the font getting smaller.
Assistance with this problem would be appreciated

I am unble to reproduce your result on Thunderbird 60. So, restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

Hi Matt:
I appreciate you taking the time to read my post and offer a solution.
I followed your suggestion and enabled Thunderbird safe mode. Unfortunately it did not work. Every time I press down on the "CTRL" key an email's font will start to reduce in size. The font reduction does not stop until I release the CTRL key.
