sorry guys but not doing that. It is not my fault that you messed up your update. Get it done on your side. I am using for in between another browser
Sorry to here that you did not want to follow Mkll's instructions. By uninstalling and deleting the Firefox Folders that remain as per post. This can fix a the issue due to the fact of those are no longer there and have to be created again with the new install. My variation to that is to use the Full Version Installer : https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ so that it is on your cpu instead of downloading files from the Stub.
Note: Your Profile is saved. It is in another folder else where. So there is no risk and when finished will come back with all your settings and things unchanged. Just new files which if have been updating for a long time is well worth it to clean it up.
Make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
And this I guess this will be the final reply then if not going to reinstall as showing no interest in pursuing a solution that's been given.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there.
if yes, can you please copy & paste this whole section into a reply in the forum and see if the following fixes the performance problem: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.
It does not say true it says false So cannot be the problem. Still firefox is freezing constantly since last update!!!
Hello,
The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menu button , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
- If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
- Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
- Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
nope no change
Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove your Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. This process does not remove your Firefox profile data (such as bookmarks and passwords), since that information is stored in a different location.
To do a clean reinstall of Firefox, please follow these steps: Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
- Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from mozilla.org (or choose the download for your operating system and language from this page) and save the setup file to your computer.
- After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu and click the close button ).
- Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
WARNING: Do not use a third party uninstaller as part of this process. Doing so could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be easily recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device! See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.
Please report back to say if this helped you!
Thank you.

Excuse me, I did write before that I actually did uninstall it and reinstalled everything. NO CHANGE!!!!!! Please read my messages before answering. Unbelievable. I tried to get a solution here with you guys and do not think that is actually ok to answer so passive aggressive! Sorry that you guys take it so personal but I did not screw this up.
Yes you did. Did not say if you followed the instructions or not. Also the Full Version Installer works better I think.
Sorry you feel frustrated.
It looks like there is some confusion in this post, and I'm sorry that happened. The users above are giving you instructions for windows, and you are on a Mac.
If you do care to come back to Firefox I'd love to help with your problem. Otherwise, I'm sorry this happened and wish you the best!
