Laptop currently running on Win7 Ultimate.

Received dialogue box whilst on laptop this morning to upgrade to 55.0.3 version from version 50.1.0 where NO problems were occurring. System was working okay before upgraded. Performed a full scan through my Norton Internet Security. Everything okay. No threats, etc.

Need to access financial records and can't because of this upgrade. Have tried several times to no avail. Have rebooted system a number of times too.

Please advise if and how I can downgrade to my previous version. Thank you.

G'day Fred,

Here's what happens...

  • I endevour to gain access to my bank details
  • I enter my respective codes & passwords
  • When I select the SUBMIT button to enter into my account...the screen freezes (at the first step, no access at all)
  • It won't go anywhere...
  • I called my bank to see if there was anything wrong with their website...they said no there wasn't
  • I then used another browser...Internet Explorer 11
  • Gained access immediately...no problems
  • I went into my Norton firewall settings to check things...everything stated that it was allowing FireFox in
  • I applied a block on the FireFox access settings and then reset (as in the instructions on FAQ for Mozilla)
  • Tried again for the upteenth time to gain access..."but alas poor Yukic, it's still up the spout"
  • I don't like using IE, but in this instance for the financials, I'm forced to use it

If you can shed some light on the subject it would be much appreciated...cheers MrGrumpy

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
