I am running Firefox ESR 52.3.0 and am having issues / questions
One of the most irritating problems after recent updates is that firefox seems to run a lot slower and I get frequent Firefox Not Responding error messages.
I am running Win 10 64 bit OS and would like to know how to get Firefox current version for this.
Running Test Pilot, I decided to try Firefox Notes. Evidently it is not compatible with Firefox ESR. I found this out by installing Notes on my win 10 32 bit laptop and Notes is available there.
The last issue I posed a question on some time ago and never got a response. Firefox NOW BLOCKS FLASH - this only affects one website for me - POGO.com. Blocking FLASH causes the Flash plugin to crash and prevents me from paying about 50% of my favorite games there. Microsoft edge (Internet Explorer for win 10) started blocking Flash too but then decided to Allow Flash. What this means is that I can still play all my favorite games on POGO.com but for the half that Firefox BLOCKS, I have to use Microsoft Edge. Not exactly good Consumer Support.

Thank you for your prompt response. I installed Firefox 53 as indicated and seems to be ok and the issue with Firefox Notes has been resolved as well.
I checked the permissions setting and I had already set it to Allow and it did not work. However, with the installation of Firefox 53, the flash issue has also been resolved.
It may have been the Firefox ESR version that caused these issues.
Thanks.

If you decide to stick with ESR, maybe one of these will help:

You can download Firefox 55.0.3 from this page (scroll down to your preferred language):
https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Note: If you are thinking about using the 64-bit version, please see this article first: How to switch from 32-bit to 64-bit Firefox.

Firefox allows site-specific permissions for Flash. The next time you are on Pogo, could you check using the Permissions panel of the Page Info dialog? You can call that up using any of these:
- right-click a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Permissions
- (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info > Permissions
- click the padlock or "i" icon to the left of the site address, then the ">" icon, then More Information > Permissions
Near the top, you'll find "Activate Plugins" where you can switch from the default of "Use default" to "Allow." (There's no Save button, your changes are saved as you go, so you can just close out of this dialog after that.)
Does that help at all?
If not, please see: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again.
